I am a freelance graphic designer and a freelance content writer and editor based in Sacramento, California. My formal art training consists of one beginning drawing class and an Associate of Science degree in Graphic Communication from Sacramento City College. I stumbled across digital painting while I was in between freelance graphic design and copy editing jobs. Digital painting revived my interest in drawing, which I have done as a hobby for many years but stopped because I was trying to figure out how to make a living.
I call my portfolio Moonlight Gallery for several reasons. First of all, most of the work that I post on this website is something that I do in my spare time. It is only recently that I landed my first professional illustration gig. Secondly, I create most of my artwork at night. While I do not literally work by moonlight, I often create illustrations during the time when the moon is high in the sky. Thirdly, some of my artwork involves monsters and other dark themes. I am intrigued by creatures of the night.
If you are reading this, thank you for your interest in me and my work. I hope you enjoy your visit to my gallery. 🙂
